Logging a Haircut

Go to Haircut Tracker in the sidebar and click New Haircut. You can log a cut you're getting now or one from the past.

What you can record

  • Date & Time: when the cut happened. Change it to log a past cut.
  • Photos: Before and After photos from four angles: front, left, right, and back. Upload a photo or take one with your camera. All photos are optional.
  • Duration: how long the cut took, in minutes
  • Hairstyle, Barber, and Location: pick from your list, or choose + Add new... to add one
  • Tools Used: the clippers, trimmers, and other tools used. See Your tools and cut defaults.
  • Notes: anything you want to remember
  • Overall Rating: how happy you are with the cut

Save when you're done. If you leave with unsaved changes, StayFresh asks whether to keep editing or discard them.

Tip: set default barber, location, and hairstyle values in User Preferences → Cut Defaults so they fill in automatically.

Using the mobile app (optional)

The StayFresh mobile app has extra tools for logging a cut while it's happening: a built-in timer, step-by-step before and after photos, and Quick Snap to grab a photo now and fill in details later. Cuts you log in the app sync to your account and appear under My Cuts on the web.
